This economy class concept was introduced in November 2014 (I think) and I can't believe I finally tried it out today. 🤣 Bumped into ex colleagues and even flew on VH-EBC which I used to work on 20 years ago 😱. Service began with a snack and drink offering followed by the meal service. Three choices in economy class: Chicken, Beef and a plant based option. I sampled the Kung Pao chicken with the most amazing fluffy rice. The serving was large, decent and quite good for airline food. The beef wasn't too bad but the chicken was the star of the show. The butter infused focaccia is a slightly elevated option in economy. After that ice cream was served followed by tea/coffee and Tim tams! Water runs and even more snack offerings continued during the flight. I was quite impressed with the amount of service offered.
